Castel Hill Hospital’s Chapel of Rest is located in a quiet corner of the Hospital site. This facility has been carefully detailed at a domestic scale, providing an environment designed to helped families and visitors feel at ease whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity that is due at the time of a loved-one’s death.

The building incorporated a suite of rooms including a private viewing area and a family and visitors enclosed garden space. The design of the body storage area provide the Trust the ability to expand its body storage requirements with a ‘bolt-on’ modular body store in times of high demand.
