Working with Kier Northern as its Design and Build architects, this simple new-built project was provided for the joint client partnership of Hull City Council and Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust, located on the Hull Royal Infirmary site.

The City Mortuary was a self-contained facility offering a full 6 bay mortuary and single bay forensic mortuary with body stores and pathology capability as well as teaching room and staff accommodation.

Embedded in the heart of the site, the building included an internal unloading/loading bay with integrated hoist linked into main body storage area.
